Tale As Old As Time

I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that Camille was FINALLY able to come visit me in San Dimas! (Hopefully Kylie's turn is next.) We had a blast and packed as much as we could into just a couple days.

I met Mom, Dad and Camille in the Weinerschnitzel parking lot in Orange County to pick up Camille on Thursday evening. We immediately started out adventure and made a late night stop at Starbucks...Camille's treat! After making it back to San Dimas we put our sweats on, got cozy on the couch and looked for something good on NetFlix. I don't even remember now what we watched...it was that good! J/K, we were very tired.

Friday morning we got up and made a huge breakfast, which consisted of scrambled eggs, chocolate chip pancakes, and apple cinnamon muffins!!

After that we were ready to go for the day and set out on a marathon shopping spree at Forever 21! We spent more than TWO hours in ONE store! Camille was in heaven and got some good stuff. Being the stylish one, she also helped me pick out a few cute things.

That definitely worked up our appetites so we headed to one of my favorite little towns, Claremont and had sandwiches and smoothies at Podge's. Camille has some pretty cool pictures but she's a little behind on her blogging. :)

Next we headed back to San Dimas for a mani/pedi in preparation for our big night in Hollywood!

Before we knew it, it was time to get ready and head towards the Pantages. Beauty and the Beast started at 8 and we didn't want to be late! First we took a few pictures of ourselves...

Don't forget the goofy one!

Sneaky little Camille went through my closet and asked if she could wear one of my dresses...and of course, I couldn't say no!

We weren't sure if we'd hit traffic so we left pretty early and had dinner all planned out.

10 East To Los Angeles!
We had to do some research since I wasn't too familiar with the area and most of the restaurants there are pretty hoity toity. We settled on Kitchen 24 and were pleasantly surprised. It was walking distance from the theater, which was good because we were STUFFED!

Best Eggs Benedict I've ever had!

We killed some time by walking through the local Anthropologie, goofed around and tried on some sunglasses. And finally made it to the theater just in time to see a group of local singers performing. They sang their own rendition of Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston.

Beauty & the Beast was amazing! From the costumes to the singing to the acting! It followed so closely to the Disney animated film that were able to recognize songs and anticipate what would come next. My favorite scene was 'Be Our Guest' where all of the servants in the castle (who are actually just objects) sang and danced for Belle. And, we can't forget about the finale where Belle dresses in her yellow ball gown and Mrs. Potts sings 'Beauty & the Beast'.

All in all, the visit was a success. I can't wait for next time!
